AICSC 21st Annual Charity Dinner

Old acquaintances were renewed and new friendships formed as Celtic Supporters from near and far gathered recently in Citywest Hotel to celebrate the magnificent Treble Treble season at the AICSC 21st Annual Charity Dinner.

For the third consecutive year the complete collection of Scottish Football’s domestic silverware were in attendance along with special guests on the night John Fallon, Danny Mc Grain and Bobby Petta. It was a particularly special night for John Fallon who was announced as AICSC Honorary President and spoke of the great pride with which he accepted the title.

Amongst the celebrations there was also sadness, as all in attendance fell quiet to watch tribute videos and remember Lisbon Lions Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers who both passed away earlier this year.

Having amassed the most playing time of any professional player in world football  for season 2018 – 2019 Callum McGregor added the AICSC Player of The Year Award to his Club and Players Player of The year awards while Kristoffer Ajer picked up The Young Player of The Year Award as voted for by AICSC members.

Charity was once again the main winner on the night with The Alzheimers Society of Ireland who had been nominated by AICSC members as this year’s beneficiary receiving €3,000 on the night.

Music was provided on the night by The Druids on the main stage and followed by Celtic Storm’ who kept guests entertained until the early morning.

The committee of The AICSC would like to thank everyone who attended the charity dinner and especially those who travelled long distances to join us. Our thanks also goes The Irish Daily Star who continue to support our event each year and for this we are very grateful. A special mention must also go to the businesses and supporters clubs who placed in the souvenir programme. We hoped everyone enjoyed their night and hope to see you all back again next year.
