Our annual charity dinner is set for Saturday 12th October 2024, in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone. It promises to be another night of celebration for the Irish Celtic Support. The charity beneficiary on the night is “The 12th Lion”, a charity founded by none other than, the original holy goalie, John Fallon. The purpose of the charity is to build a school for the poor and under-privileged children in Western Equatoria. The school will house 200 students, and will offer these children an education, a chance to interact, and will be a lasting legacy to the man himself – John Fallon. Music on the night will be provided by The Paddy Bhoys followed by a DJ until the wee hours. Tickets are priced at €70 each, and can be bought using the link below. Accommodation is currently Sold Out in the hotel, but there are plenty alternatives around Athlone. For anyone wishing to make a weekend out of it, there will also be live music on the Friday night in The Castle Inn provided by Richie Prendergast as well as the customary craic and catch ups with the Celtic family. Already confirmed is our honorary president, John Fallon (Lisbon Lion), and we will also have the domestic trophies on the night for photos. We do hope to confirm more guests in the build up to the dinner, but with a hectic first team schedule, this may be at short notice. Nonetheless, a fantastic night planned for all.
